After Wolf untied her, she reached up and pulled the handkerchief out of her mouth. Then she turned away from him and wiped her eyes clumsily with her hand. She knew she had done a stupid thing. It was really stupid, but hearing Wolf tell her that made her feel ten times worse than what she already did. She took a few deep breaths to study her breathing. She kept her back to him, she didn't even see Satsuki and Koki arrive.

"I'm sorry," she whispered. "I'm sorry you had to come save me. I'm sorry for everything."

New tears started down her cheeks as she took off again.

"Yuu-chan! Come back!" Satsuki yelled.

She turned to look at Koki.

"Koki, follow Yuu-chan. I think she is going to her favorite place. I need to talk to Wolf alone for a few minutes."

Koki nodded and followed Yuuki. Satsuki looked at Wolf for a few minutes before she spoke.

"I know I asked you this once before, but since you have spent more time with Yuu-chan, I am going to ask you again. How do you feel about Yuu-chan? Do you love her? Because, I can tell she loves you. I haven't seen her like this since Kousuke was alive. Now, answer my question."

~Meanwhile~

Koki found Yuuki sitting alone on a hill. That was her favorite place to sit, ever since her mom had died. Her shirt was still in tatters, and she was sitting on the grassy knoll, her knees drawn up to her chest, and her forehead resting on them.

"Yuu-sama, you shouldn't be wondering around alone. Come on, I'll take you home," Koki said.

Yuuki shook her head, and he was shaking slightly from the sobs that were threatening to escape her mouth.

"I can't go back," Yuuki said. "I can't go back and see Wolf. He must think badly of me now."

Koki was a little shocked about what Yuuki was saying. She had never talked like this before. He took a deep breath and said something that was weighing on his mind.

"Yuu-sama, do you love Wolf?"

He watched Yuuki for an expression, but she kept her face hidden.

"Yuu-sama?"

Yuuki looked up at him, her eyes red from crying, and teas still streaming down her face.

"Yes, I love him," she said.

She stood up and dusted her butt off.

"I am kinda tired. I think I am going to go home and take a nice warm bath and go to bed," she said.

She started for home, Koki right behind her.

"Do I love her?" Wolf repeated to himself two or three times. He honestly had never been asked that question before. In the 21 years he'd been alive he'd never been faced with this question.

Satsuki had a look of anticipation on her face, like she was watching the fuse on a stick of dynamite as it neared a firey end.

"If you want my honest opinion," he said, "I don't know."

"Huh?" was her dull response as she cocked her head to the side.

"I don't know if I love her or not," he said, "I'm here, going out of my way to make sure she's safe. We've only ever met a few times in the past. She's extremely hard to get along with sometimes. Ontop of that, she's barely legal age...But, there is a softer side of her under that mask she wears. Her life is precious to me, and she is enjoyable to have around when it's just the two of us." A smile came across his lips as he spoke, "And she's not a bad kisser either..."

A sharp pain shot up Wolf's leg as the kick to the shin registered from Satsuki. Her face was a bright shade of red next to her usually pale complextion. "So you have confused feelings about her?" she asked.

"I guess you could say that." he said. He took a deep breath and tried to clear his head. "One thing I do know, that old guy's gonna kill me if I let her out of sight for too long." Wolf hurried on past the girl and went off in search of Yuuki and Koki, the question still sat in his head however, 'Do I love her?'.

They stumbled upon the two of them as they rounded a corner. Koki motioned to Yuuki with his head, and she immediately stroked her eyes with her sleeve in a quick, single motion. She turned to Wolf as a drop of rain fell to her face. Another fell, landing on his, and then another, and another. The drops came quickly, and within seconds, thunder crashed overhead and a storm was upon them. Wolf took off his jacket and threw it over Yuuki's shoulders to cover up her torn shirt. "Let's head back before the storm picks up any more." he said as she hugged the warmth of the jacket.

Yuuki nodded. That's all she could do. Her voice would've been too broken to make a sound at this point, and she cried as they walked, letting the rain hide her tears from the one she loved.

Yuuki was glad it was raining. It was hiding the tears that were streaming down her face, and she had her head down, to hide the fact that her eyes were red and swollen.

Wolf glanced at Yuuki and saw she had her head down, probablly trying to hide the fact that her eyes were red and swollen from crying. He knew she was still crying, because she was sniffling. The only time he had heard her sniffle this much was when she was crying, and she hardly ever cried. But, ever since Makoto decided to make thier life hell, well, Yuuki had been forced to let out all her feelings. Wolf felt bad for her, but she was putting herself into danger, which really pissed him off. How was he supposed to protect her if she didn't stay put?

When they reached Yuuki's house, Koki, Satsuki and Yuuki stood outside to talk for a few minutes. Yuuki just wanted to be alone and refused to let them stay with her. She assured them that she wouldn't be doing anything stupid. She walked into the house and locked the door. Wolf was already sitting on his futon and looked up when Yuuki entered the living room.

"Why did you do it?" he asked.

"I did it to lure Makoto out. This would have been alot easier if you had just agreed to what I asked you to do!" Yuuki answered, her anger starting to flare up.

"What you did was irresponsible! There was no reason for you to do what you did!" Wolf yelled, standing up.

"Why do you even care?" she asked. "It's not like you care about me anyways! You're just here because my dad asked you to protect me!"

She stalked off to the steps and stopped.

"You better take a bath or your going to catch a cold," she said, pointing at the bathroom.

She took off upstairs to take her own bath.

Memory Loss? - Page 5 Empty Re: Memory Loss?

Post  B-rad Sun Aug 22, 2010 12:56 pm

Wolf threw his clothes in the woven basket outside the bathroom with a sigh. He had no idea why she was the one that was being so pissy. She was the one that was in the wrong tonight, and he wasn't about to let her turn it around on him. The shower was warm now because of the repairs that had finally been made to the town's water system.

He finished and changed into a new set of clothes that he had purchased from a local store. He had been there a long time, so him wearing the same clothes all the time without washing them was hardly sanitary. The new outfit was similar to his own in a way. He bought a new white longsleeved with black trim around the collar and waist. It came with a vest that was also white with black and grey designs along the edges of the fabric as trim. There was a black circle on his back that was divided down the middle with a cat's eye and on either side of the eyeslit was a sun and a moon. Yuuki told him after he bought it that it was her family crest. He had a pair of black leggings that were very baggy and wavy, he was used to the fit, though the fabric felt much different from his usual jeans.

As he dressed, he walked into the living room again and went off towards his futon. The lights were out, so he figured Yuuki had already gone to bed. He made his way over to his futon by memory and fumbled around a bit before getting in the bed. It was warm that night, and the rain only served to make it more humid. He took his vest and shirt off and lay them to the side. Yuuki had already walked in to see him sleeping like that on more than one occasion, and she hasn't freaked out again nearly as much as the first time, so he was comfortable with it.

He lay there for a moment, his eyes shut, listening to the rain. The trickling sound of the drops hitting the roof lulled him to sleep, when a sudden noise that was out of place woke started him from his dream. His head snapped to the side to lock on to the source of the thump, and as he looked, Yuuki was standing there in her blue-striped pajamas with a sleepy look on her face.

"What's wrong?" he asked as she stood there, but there was no response. She took a step forward. "Are you okay?" he asked tensing up a bit as she took another slow step. He sat up in bed as she approached his bed. "Hey, wha--" he began to say, but as his voice escaped his throat he fell ontop of his bed and lay across his stomach.

Wolf was surprised to say the least, but the heavy breathing of the girl made it apparent that she was sleep-walking. He sat up once more since the weight of her falling ontop of him had knocked him down once, but the movement made her sleepwalking kick back in and she adjusted herself to where she was laying vertically across him. She wrapped her arms around him and snuggled closely. "Y-Yuuki...?" he gasped as she clenched his neck before she lost balance ontop of him and slid off to the side. Her grip loosened and he slid away to get a few inches of distance from her. He looked at her as she lay there, she slept with a smile on her face, a rare sight these days. He wondered what she was dreaming about, and what would make her sleepwalk to come into the livingroom where he was. Before Wolf knew it, he had dozed off and the two of them lay there through the night, side-by-side.

Memory Loss? - Page 5 Empty Re: Memory Loss?

When Wolf awoke the next morning, he noticed that there was something heavy laying on top of him. His eyes snapped open and he was faced with a head full of blue hair. Then he remembered that Yuuki was sleep walking and she had come downstairs. He could feel her right leg draped across his legs, her right arm was laying across his chest and her head was nestled on his shoulder. She was literally pressed against his side. He had to admit that her hair was soft and she smelled like cherry blossoms, which she was rather fond of. As he breathed in her scent, he felt the heat rise in his body, and he knew he had to get away from her before he would do anything he would regret, like defiling the princess of Shihana. He gently moved her arm and tried to slid out from under her. When he moved, however, she gave out a small whimper and said Kousuke's name. He had heard about Kousuke from Satsuki and Koki. He was Yuuki's bodyguard and her first love. They were really close, and when he died, it almost killed Yuuki. When she had quieted down, he lifted her head gently and was able to get up out of bed.
He sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing his eyes when he heard Yuuki stirring behind him. He turned to see her sit up. She looked confused. Of course she didn't know that she had come downstairs on her own.

"Well, good morning, Princess Yuuki," Wolf said, smiling.

Yuuki looked around the living room, then looked at the bed she was sitting on. Then her eyes traveled over to Wolf, who still had no shirt on. Her face turned a beet red color.

"What the hell am I doing in your bed?" she asked.

"You were sleepwalking," Wolf said. "You had a smile on your face while you were sleeping. You must have been having a good dream. Would you like to share it?"

Wolf was a little curious about the things Yuuki would dream about. He decided to not mention that she had whimpered Kousuke's name.

Yuuki got up and started toward the stairs. She stopped with one foot on the bottom step and she looked over her shoulder with a slight smile on her face.

"I can't tell you what I dreamed about. If I told you, I would have to kill you."

Her smile got bigger and she chuckled as she started upstairs to get dressed. When she reached her room, she closed the door and leaned back on it and slid slowly to the floor. She pulled her knees up to her chest and placed her forehead on them. Kyo came over and licked her toes, but, Yuuki paid no attention to him. She remembered the dream she had. It invovled Wolf, which was probably why she was sleepwalking. But, she knew she couldn't tell Wolf about, since she shouldn't be dreaming what she was in the first place. She remembered toward the end of her dream, Wolf had somehow changed into Kousuke and was sculding her for acting so recklessly. Then he told her off for falling in love again, which she didn't think was a bad thing at all, then he disappeared, and she remembered she had whimpered his name. She just hope she didn't say it out loud. She stood and walked over to her closet where she pulled out one of her many kimonos. She didn't feel like wearing her normal clothes. Today's kimono was a light red, almost pink with cherry blossoms on the arms and at the hem. She pulled it on and went downstairs.

"Wolf, are you dressed?" she asked, reaching the bottom of the stairs.

Wolf was sitting on the couch, staring at the wall. He was still in shock about what had happened during the night. He looked over at Yuuki and noticed that she was wearing a kimono.

"Why are you wearing a kimono?" he asked.

"I didn't feel like wearing normal clothes today. Don't worry, I can still work in this," she said, smiling slightly.

She slipped on her shoes and after making sure Wolf was out of the house, she locked it up and they were on their way.

Memory Loss? - Page 5 Empty Re: Memory Loss?

Post  B-rad Wed Sep 22, 2010 8:54 am

The day passed slowly. The two worked for hours on end, and Wolf had by now gotten used to eating rice alone for lunch, regardless to how much he missed wholesome meals. He enjoyed life in the village, but he had to get back home soon. Kitt was probably worried about him, though this wouldn't be the first time he hadn't come home on time, he had been gone for a long time.

Yuuki's attention was caught as he let out an inaudible sigh durring lunch. "What's wrong?" she asked inquisitively.

Wolf snapped out of his daze to turn his attention to her. "Just wondering on the punishment I'll get for not making it home on time." he said with a smile.

It then dawned on Yuuki that Wolf wasn't one of them. He wasn't a ninja, he was hardly even welcome in town, much less someone who could stay. Once the whole thing with Makoto was settled, there'd be no need for him to be around. She had come to depend on him for daily things, and had adjusted her life-style to living together with him. But the realization that he'd eventually leave left her wondering if she could function without him around. "Is that so? I figure if you tell her you were living with a teenage girl for weeks on end, it wouldn't turn out too well..." she said with a smirk, trying to ease the tension in her heart.

Wolf spit the water out of his mouth as he choked. She had a good point, what WAS he going to tell his sister? "Sorry I didn't come home, I had to fight an evil magician over an amnisiatic princess and live with her day-and-night so that the bad guy wouldn't rape her." just didn't sound very convincing.

"Maybe I should work on getting in contact with her." he said, "I don't suppose you have a phone or radio around?"

Yuuki shook her head. "What would a village of shinobi need a phone for?"

Wolf glared at her for pointing out the obvious. "Rufturf isn't far from here...maybe there's a way I could get my earpiece repaired so I can get in touch with Kitt there."

Yuuki thought about it. There had been significant improvement in the Town's structure, and it was now livable, with only a little more work needing to be completed. They could take the next day off and go to town. They might be able to repair the piece and let him talk with his sister, and be back before noon. "Dad would probably allow that. We should be able to go out and finish it in half a day."

"You're coming too?" he asked as she stood up.

"Of course I am," she replied with a smile, "we're not supposed to be sepparated, remember? Besides, I wanna go shopping, and you're going to take me."

"What do you mean 'shopping'?" he asked, "you want to buy some new clothes or something?" he asked.

"That's for me to know." she said as she got up and headed back to work.

They headed to Raizo's house at the end of the day, and after a bit of convincing, got Raizo's permission to go to Rufturf for a few hours, being escorted with Koki and Satsuki. They headed home and slept. It was decided, the next day they would leave for Rufturf in the morning.

Memory Loss? - Page 5 Empty Re: Memory Loss?

Post  Julia Tue Sep 28, 2010 6:36 pm

The next morning dawned bright and as the light nearly blinded Yuuki, she felt something stir beside. At first, she thought it was Kyo, but this thing in her bed seemed much bigger than her small talking puppy. As she started to become fully aware of her situation, she rolled out of bed and grabbed a kunai that was lying on her bed. She jumped on the mass in her bed and pulled the covers off, placing the kunai against the throat of the intruder in her bed. It turned out to be Satsuki.

"Mmph Yuu-chan? What's wrong? Why did you attack me?" Satsuki asked sleepily.

Yuuki relaxed and got off of her childhood friend, and stood looking at her while Satsuki sat up and rubbed her eyes.

"I'm sorry Sat-chan, I thought you were that bastard Makoto for a minute. Don't worry about it," Yuuki said, walking toward the bathroom.

A few minutes later, Yuuki and Satsuki were up and dressed and downstairs waking the boys up. They had been up all night talking about nothing in particular. As Satsuki and Yuuki waited for the boys to get ready, Yuuki quickly made some toast. After awhile, the group finally left Shihana and they were on the way to Rufturf. Satsuki and Koki were walking ahead of the group, Yuuki was in the middle, and Wolf was behind her. Yuuki was feeling down because she had to look at Koki and Satsuki holding hands.

Wolf seemed to get to get that something was wrong with Yuuki and spoke up.

"Yuuki, are you okay?" Wolf asked.

Yuuki took her eyes off Koki and Satsuki's hands and turned to smile at Wolf.

"Of course. I am just fine, Wolf," she said.

The rest of the day passed uneventfully and they arrived at Rufturf earlier than they thought.

Memory Loss? - Page 5 Empty Re: Memory Loss?

Post  B-rad Thu Jan 05, 2012 10:38 am

The group traveled immediately to the central district of town and searched around. Yuuki and Satsuki, however, kept ushering the boys to go to the southern market instead. "They've got more shops down there, so somebody has to be knoledgeable about that thing." Yuuki reasoned. Wolf hadn't been to Rufturf many times before, so he went on Yuuki's advice and headed to the trader area in the southern district.

After they arrived, however, he found it was all just a ploy to let Yuuki and Satsuki run amok shopping around for things left and right. Satsuki bought some animal furs and Yuuki was over gawking at the jewelry and what-not. "Can you believe these two?" Wolf asked, but then noticed Koki had also wondered off to grab some goodies from the candy store. "FFFFFF--"

Wolf approached Yuuki and asked if they could start looking for someone to fix his radio now, but she replied that he should go look himself. "It's not like Makoto's going to try and abduct me in the middle of town or anything. Go find something, I'll be fine!" To his dismay, he listened to her, figuring she wasn't intent on helping him from the start.

After a bit of searching and asking, he realized that there was little-to-no hope that he would ever find anyone that even knew how radios worked, much less, how to fix them. Then he saw it, a beacon of hope, the chrome from the gadgets lining the stall glinting in the sunlight caught his eye and he walked over and asked. "I don't suppose you know anything about radios...?"

"I don't sell any radios kid!" the old man replied gruffly. A massive frown formed on Wolf's face for a moment. "But I DO repair them..." the man continued, causing Wolf's mouth to nearly flip inverted. He handed the man the water-damaged/beaten-up/cracked/fried earpiece and the geezer was appalled that he would have let such a fine device come into such dis-repair. "Ugh...gimme until tomorrow and 50gpz."

Wolf smiled and forked over what little money he had left. It totalled at 45gpz and the man sent him a glare. Wolf thought for a moment before offering up a rice-cake that Yuuki had cooked early that morning. The old man eyed it for a moment. "What's that?"

"Just eat it and call it payment for services rendered. The rest is a tip." Wolf replied and ushered the man to go ahead. He bit a piece out, and the hidden steak strips met his taste-buds. The man began to cry at how good it tasted. Wolf joined in crying, but only because he'd given him the steak one instead of the tuna one. Wolf loved steak...he HATED tuna. He just KNEW Yuuki was making him one of each to secretly starve him to death, but she made them look so identical that he could never tell which was which.

As Wolf walked away to go meet up with the others, the man threw him 20gpz back. "You forgot your change!" he said, and Wolf waved in gratitude. He met up with everyone else, safe and sound, and told them that the man would need until tomorrow to fix the device. He planned to stay at the inn if possible.

Memory Loss? - Page 5 Empty Re: Memory Loss?

As they walked to the inn, Yuuki kept glancing behind her at Koki and Satsuki. They were holding hands and they were whispering about something. Yuuki couldn't hear them since they were a good five feet behind Yuuki and Wolf.

"They are plotting something," Yuuki said, glancing at her best friends nervously.

Wolf looked at the couple and chuckled.

"Maybe they are just whispering things to each other that we aren't meant to hear. They are dating after all."

Yuuki sighed as she looked up at Wolf.

"I know they are dating! But, you don't know Sat-chan and Koki-kun like me. They can be quite evil when thinking up schemes."

They had arrived at the inn and Satsuki ran up to Wolf and Yuuki.

"Yuu-chan, Koki and I are going to head back to Shihana. You stay here with Wolf. Your much safer with him anyways."

Satsuki forced a small pouch into Yuuki's hand.

"This is for the inn. I know you probably don't have enough to cover the room after you bought your father his birthday gift. I'll let Raizo-sama know where you are and that you should be home tomorrow."

She started to walk away before she turned around and gave Yuuki the evilist smirk ever.

"Before you ask, there is only enough for one room. Have a good night and see you tomorrow"

Yuuki's face turned red as she yelled at her best friends, but they just waved and kept walking. Yuuki ran a hand through her hair.

"I knew they had something evil planned," she sighed. "Looks like you are stuck with me, Wolf."

Memory Loss? - Page 5 Empty Re: Memory Loss?

Post  B-rad Wed Feb 15, 2012 10:47 am

"I suppose I am, though I don't think that's 'evil' per-say..." Wolf said as he looked over at her before walking in. Her mind wandered for a moment on those words as it always did. Trying to find hidden meaning in a compliment that may or may not have had one. She hated how he would irritate her, seemingly on accident like that. She payed the man, but Wolf's meager level of money wasn't enough for a sepparate room afterwards, and they'd need the cash for a meal in the morning since they realized too late that Satsuki and Koki had run off with the bags aswell. Though, at the same time, he did not envy Koki having to carry all of the bags back.

Wolf entered the room, followed by Yuuki, he was surprised. He looked around and noted ample luxury items lain about. Tables, chairs, counters, dressers, and an ice-box for drinks. "Looks like we llucked out with a suite type of room." he said as he looked back at Yuuki who was standing in the exact same spot she had been for a couple o minutes. "You okay?"

"One..." she said quietly to herself.
"Huh?" he inquired.
"There's only...one..." she again replied, this time looking in his general direction with a stunned look on her face.
He looked into the room where she had been, but noticed nothing in particular. There was only one of just about everything in there. "Could you clarify?"
"There's Only ONE BED!!" she shrieked as she cringed up into a flustered fit. Her ranting went on for a good few minutes, and though Wolf constantly tossed a few "I could sleep on the floor"s in there, she was off in her own little world and seemed to hear nothing else.
"You sure get worked up over nothing..." he said, getting her attention back. As she looked over, finally coming back down from her rant, she noted he was already half naked and getting under the covers of the room's Queen-Size bed.
"What he HELL are you doing?!" she yelled.
"I'm going to sleep, what's it look like?" he replied, trying to get comfortable. and preparing to douse the candle on his side.
"You're going to make me sleep on the floor?" she asked, almost hurt.
"There's another side of the bed for you, y'know..." he replied with his back to her, patting the matress behind him from his lying postition.
"Cha-right!" she said as she picked out a second blanket from the closet and threw it onto the floor. She snatched a pillow from the bed and grumpily threw it on the ground with it. Though she constantly complained about it the whole time, he seemed to be ignoring her as though he were sleeping, ocasionally patting the bed with an inaudible reply.

Yuuki doused the rest of the candles and laid down to sleep. She was tired afterall, but the floor was cold, and with only one small blanket, she couldn't get it around herself enough to keep her body off of the floor. Even with as much clothing as she had on, she still got chilled. An hour passed, she still couldn't sleep. Sometime, however, durring the night, she managed to pass out from exhaustion.

The night passed and the morning sun peeked through the window. It caught Yuuki's eyes and caused her to slowly wake. Her slow start to the morning was sped up however as she noticed that she was no longer on the floor. Perhaps she did it in her sleep, that didn't matter, but she was now mere inches from a half-naked man in the same bed, staring him his sleeping face. She didn't know what to do. Half of her wanted to scream, but the other just wanted to stay there and go back to sleep, though she wasn't tired. She just felt...warm...when she was next to him. Not in a temperal sense, but with a way she hadn't felt in a long time, though she couldn't remember the last time she'd felt such a way.

Wolf sensed in his sleep the movement of her sudden jerk of consiousness and began to wake himself. Yuuki took notice and stealthily turned over and closed her eyes, face beet-red. Wolf didn't move, neither did she. Was he awake? She didn't dare turn around. She didn't even breathe. Her head slowly turned to get a glimpse of him. Slowly, slowly, her neck rotated until he came into view. He was even closer now. Nearly touching her!

Slowly now, more than ever, it turned, to get him fully in sight. His eyes were closed still, but he could be faking it just to surprise her. She inhaled slowly and turned the rest of the way. Then she knew. With the sticky, wet squish that met her face, she knew he was still asleep, and drooling to boot. With a shout, a drop-kick to his ribs, and a wave of profanities, she welcomed Wolf back into the waking world. Beginning the morning of the most eventful day these two had experienced together yet.

Wolf jerked away, a wave of pain rolling over him.

"Ouch! What the hell did you that for?" Wolf asked, massaging his ribs.

"You were drooling and I laid in it!" Yuuki yelled, getting up and heading to the bathroom to watch her face. She was muttering about how it was nasty that she was lying in his spit. But, she couldn't help but wonder how she ended up with Wolf in the same bed. Did he move her while she was asleep? Or did she move herself? She knew she had a tendency to sleep walk. She did it one night back in Shihana. She shook her head and walked back into the room. Wolf was sitting on the bed, fully dressed. Yuuki felt a rush of guilt as she looked at him.

"Sorry," she whispered.

Wolf was a little taken aback. Did she just apologize to him? And for kicking him? She hardly apologized for inflicting some sort of pain on him. Sometimes he even thought she was sadist. He looked up at her, her green eyes downcast and he smiled, in spite of the pain he felt in his ribs.

"It's okay, Yuuki. I forgive you," he said.

Yuuki looked up quickly, slightly surprised. She walked over to the bed and sat down quickly, her back towards him, to hide the blush creeping onto her face.

"Wolf, did you happen to move into the bed with you during the night?"

As soon as she asked the question, she regretted it.

"Ah, never mind," she said, standing up. "Come on, we should get going. We have a lot to do today."

She walked over to the door without looking back at him.

Memory Loss? - Page 5 Empty Re: Memory Loss?

Obsessed with revenge since this whole mess started, Makoto could do little else but think of Yuuki. His sick, twisted mind lingering on thoughts of perversion and desecration of that village's beloved princess. He wanted it to be big, he wanted it to be spectacular. The one moment when he made her his. She would obey any order he gave her, no matter what it was. Even the interference from that gun-slinger would be inconsequential.

Suddenly, he had a stroke of genius. An evil plan had just hatched in his psychotic mind. Before he had time to linger on it, his attendant arrived to inform him that Yuuki and Wolf had left the Rufturf Inn and were headed for the center of town. It was time to put the next step of his plan into motion.

----------

Still a little groggy from just waking up, Wolf headed towards the Southern District with Yuuki following suit behind him. He arrived at the tent where the old man had already set up shop and was told his radio still needed another hour's work. Wolf reluctantly tagged along with Yuuki as she took him around the shopping stalls and kiosks to waste time.

Though the selections were the same as they had been the day before, Yuuki was enjoying herself even more this time. It was like the presence of Wolf with her made the simple experience much more enjoyable. Suddenly, without warning, she felt an eerie and all-too-familiar sensation well up within her. Her body tensed up. Her eyes narrowed. Her senses dulled.

"...no..." she pleaded.
"Yes..." Makoto replied.
"No!" she yelled back as she thrashed.
"YES!" Makoto yelled as he took full control of her yet again.
"Yuuki?" Wolf asked as he got ready. He knew this sensation already. He knew without her saying anything that she was posesssed again. But he didn't see Makoto at all. It was early in the morning, the stalls were still just setting up, and there weren't any places to hide that were close-by.
"Ah, it seems you've noticed..." Yuuki said as she lifelessly turned towards Wolf. "I have already gotten controlling this girl down to an art! Do you remember my castle on the western coast? I am even further away than that, and still have her under my control enough to speak through her and fight with her body at 100%" Yuuki's arms glowed with a blue energy as the seals on her arms appeared. Wolf had seen this before, her power increases exponentially every time she releases one of those. He had to stop this before he was no longer a match for her.

He prepared himself to attack when something caught his attention, coming from either side at incredibly high speeds. He raised his arms to block the incoming attacks and as the blue glow of the teleportation faded, he had barely managed to summon his gauntlets to shield himself from the blades. A pair of masked shinobi had ambushed him from either side with katanas drawn. Spinning to a stop, he readied himself for a three-on-one fight with Yuuki and the two new shinobi.

"I'd like you to meet my two followers Mr. Pewter," Makoto said through Yuuki, "They are previous conversions from other villages. I took two of the most elite kunoichi I could find and turned them into my puppets. Much like I'm going to do to this one..." her arm raised up and stroked her face smoothly with that lifeless expression in her eyes. Yuuki's first seal was released and in the same instant, she was punching him squarely in the face with all of her might. The shock sent him flying into a nearby stall, destroying it. Before the dust cleared, the remains of the stall went flying through the air at her. The two maked girls intercepted the debris with another pinsir attack, clearing it away as Yuuki drew her blade and sent a Black Rose energy wave flying for Wolf. He lept to avoid it, but was tackled in mid-air by the two masked ninja.

They moved in perfect unison, and their strength was super-human. They held him on the ground by his arms as Yuuki strolled over, her second seal breaking. She pulsed in pain for only a moment as it broke before Makoto composed her forcibly. Her blade now glowed with a much more intense energy. "Even with 50% power, I can control it far better than she could ever hope to!" The blade raised into the air, and Wolf struggled to break free. The townsfolk were fleeing the scene as they knew it wasn't a place to be at the time.

Wolf fought the two pinning him down, but they refused to release him regardless, leaving him no choice. Faced with death, he refused to give up and revved his gauntlets to maximum force. A massive wave of force errupted from him as he engaged the vibration cells in each gauntlet. The intense vibration caused the ground in the immediate area to quake as though a large jack-hammer powered by jet-fuel had just turned on. The grip the girls had on his hands immediately released, and Wolf's arms threatened to tear off from the strain. He threw himself from the ground, his arms laying into the masked girls, shattering bones as he connected with them before throwing them clean into Central District. In the same motion, he foldedhis forarms infront of him to block the incoming strike from Yuuki's sword.

The blade connected with his gauntlets, and the massive energy around it fired off, but the pulses of energy from the gauntlets caused the wave to fire around Wolf in a cone-fashion. He broke her swing with another flail with both arms and immediately decreased the vibration on his gauntlets to less than 30%. His arms couldn't take any more punishment and were almost completely numb already. The gauntlets gave him a massive boost in attack and defense, but the strain on his arms was still too much for him to handle at full RPM.

Makoto was shocked that even with half of the power released from her seals, Yuuki still couldn't destroy him with a single blow. The two kunoichi from earlier were sprawled out on the ground, beaten and unconsious. Yuuki readied her blade for another blast. "Let's see if you can stop it again!"

Wolf immediately turned his gauntlets up again. This time only to 70%. With the force exerted on his arms already, his arms went completely numb. He couldn't lift them and they hung there lifelessly, humming with the vibration of the cells. As they lost feeling completely, his hand released the revving-grip on the interior of the shell. There was a safety mechanism installed that caused the gauntlets to shut down and teleport back to base if he let go while they were turned on.

He stood there, defenseless, and worn out, waiting for the attack in hopes of dodging it if even slightly. As the attack came down, a sharp blow landed in Yuuki's stomach from an unknown figure. "TAI-HOU! [Canon]" the man yelled, as a shockwave errupted from her abdomen and sent her flying into a wall. The dust cleared from the burst of power, and there stood the chief of Shihana with a stern look on his face.
"Raizo!" Wolf gasped in surprise. Two more ninja joined in along-side Wolf. Kanji and Yuuichi stood on either side of him, helping him to his feet. Koki jumped in as well, but even further back. They had all come rushing over when a report of missing kunoichi reached the chief's office that morning. They presumed it was Makoto and took precaution to reach Yuuki as soon as possible.

"I entrusted my daughter's well-being to you." Raizo said from the corner of his eye at Wolf, "I am disappointed. I fear now that he has this much control over her, she will not listen to reason."
The smoke from the wall where she impacted the wall was blown away as five waves of dark blue energy blasted forth.
"Gooouuuu......[Five]" Raizo said as he drew back both of his fists to his sides, "RAI-HOU!!! [Thunder Canon]" He threw a barrage of five punches at her, each sending a powerful ball of electricity in her direction, colliding with her Black Roses and causing great explosions. In the next instant, she was in Wolf's face, sheathing her sword.

Kanji and Yuuichi fell behind her in a fountain of blood at the mercy of her 'Kind Princess' technique which was basically a barrage of slashes too fast for human eyes to see. Her thrid seal shattered. Koki jumped at her with a punch to her head with all of his might. "TAI-HOU!" he cried as he connected, but the effect was miniscule compared to what Raizo had done. The attack didn't even register as she shrugged it off and delivered her own left-jab to his face, launching him into Raizo who had just turned around. The two of them tumbled across the street.

She spun in-place drawing her sword again, going for a decapitation of Wolf in a single motion. Her rotation was abruptly stopped by a large object, glowing blue. The glow faded and it was revealed that Wolf had blocked her strike with his Impactor. He leaned back and kicked at her legs, throwing her off balance. He landed on his back, reared up his feet, and kicked her with both legs as hard as he could in the stomach, to send her air-borne. A flying target with no wings has no avoidance ability. She righted herself in the air as she began her desent, seeing the bright-golden glow of the Impactor at full-charge. Her Final Seal glowed brightly.

She raised her sword, errupting into the most massive 'Black Rose' she'd used yet. The two fired their respective attacks at eachother. Connecting in mid-air, there was a bright flash of light followed by an explosion. Moments later, the dust cleared as Yuuki stood over Wolf with a foot on his chest. Her blade ready in her hand. He was out of ideas, out of weapons, out of ammo, and out of energy. She'd beaten him, and there was no way around it. Makoto was going to have her kill him, move on to destroy Shihana, and then, maybe even the world.

Her final seal broke as her aura turned pitch black. Her sword raised into the air over her head. "I guess this is the end Mr. Pewter..."
"Is this really what you want?" Wolf asked.
"Excuse me?" Makoto asked.
"YUUKI!" he yelled, ignoring Makoto, "I'm talking to you! I can't fight anymore! I understand you're at a disadvantage right now. He's taken control of your mind, but so what?! What good is a future chief that is so suseptible to brain-washing anyways? I won't always be around to save the day, you know? It's time you decide to stand up for yourself and stop relying on others to get you out of trouble! I tried, but if you keep helping him hurt those close to you, how am I supposed to stop you? Why can't you save ME for once, huh?!?"
Yuuki's arm stuttered as Makoto tried to move it.
"Yuuki..?" Makoto said in surpise. He should have total control over her. He should be moving her around as though she was a suit of clothes he was wearing. Why wouldn't she respond.

".s...ole..." she said quietly while trembling. Wolf looked at her with a smirk on his face as she started to take control of herself. "..our...n...s.h..le..." she repeated, slightly louder.
"Take control Yuuki, let your feelings take over, and he won't have any hold on you anymore!" Wolf cheered as her aura turned to a much brighter blue and became much more fierce.
Her eyes opened wide and the life returned to them as tears flew forth. "YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE! YOU KNOW THAT?!" She swung her sword with all her might, creating a crater on impact with the ground. The dust cleared to reveal that the blade was burried in the ground between Wolf's legs, centimeters form his groin. Her seals returned instantaneously, the control of Makoto had been broken, and her exhausted body collapsed, falling ontop of Wolf as a weak smile accompanied by tears formed across her face.

As the town guards arrived on the scene late as usual, Raizo promptly appologized and had Koki dress everyone's wounds while he went and talked to the Mayor about the incident. Afterwards, Kanji and Yuuichi carried the unconsious Yuuki and Wolf back to Shihana. The two masked kunoichi from earlier were taken back to their respective villages to be treated for their injuries.

Wolf awakened in a stange room a few hours later. He looked up to see Raizo in the next room. He promptly got out of bed, made the bed, and walked into the next room. He sat down at the candle-lit table adjacent to Raizo. It was late, and it was just the two of them with a cup of tea each.

"About today..." Wolf began.
"Enough about the past." Raizo said, cutting him off, "We need to think about what's next. Yuuki is in the other room sleeping. It seems as though it takes Makoto a long time to prepare his mind-control ability, but the longer he waits, the more powerful it becomes. He waited forever before using the ability this time, but when he did, he had enough time invested to place such massive control over three individuals simultaneously. In reality, we have maybe one week before he makes another move like that. The longer we wait, the more powerful his control technique will become. I fear that next time we will not be able to deal with her outburst."
"So what do we do?" Wolf asked.
"You've put forth a valiant effort," Raizo said, "But it would be ultimately selfish of me to sacrifice the well-being of this village for the sake of my own daughter. I have chosen to execute Yuuki in three days."
"You WHAT?!" Wolf stood up threateningly, "You can't be serious! You saw her out there today, she took control back by herself!"
"AFTER downing our villages TOP THREE shinobi!" Raizo retorted. "She's too dangerous, and the Village Elders have already placed their ultimatum. There is nothing I can do..."
Wolf fell silent. He understood that she was at her limit earlier when she broke free. He knew that he was having less and less effect over what exactly was happening to her. "But even so..."
"I am hereby exiling you from this village." Raizo said, cutting him off again.
"Wha-?" Wolf stuttered in reply.
"Kanji, escort Mr. Pewter out of the village, and have a detail follow him until he's left the forest." Raizo finished, "We're done here. Do not return on penalty of death."

Wolf was promply led to the door, then to the village gate. He was followed by four other ninja from the shadows on his way out of the forest. He headed back to Rufturf, and located a small house in the Eastern District after some searching around. A small old man answered the door with a surprised look on his face. He handed Wolf his radio and Wolf contacted his sister for the first time in months. "Amber?" he asked as she picked up, "I need a favor..."

Yuuki awoke several hours later. As she opened her green eyes, she was able to tell she was in the hospital, even though it was dark. She tried to move her arms and legs, only to find she couldn't move them. She struggled for a couple seconds when a voice startled her.
"You are tied down, Yuuki. You are unable to escape."
Yuuki looked toward the door and saw her father sitting in a chair. It looked like he had been waiting for her to wake up.
"Father, what is going on?" Yuuki asked, her voice a little hoarse. "Why am I tied down?"

Raizo was quiet for a few minutes. He didn't say anything, and he could feel the frustration growing in his daughter. When she opened her mouth to speak, Raizo cut her off.
"You are tied down because you are a danger to yourself and others." Seeing the confusion on Yuuki's face, he decided to elebarate. "Earlier today, Makoto took control of your body and you took down Kanji, Yuuichi and Koki. You also destroyed the merchant part of Rufturf. Wolf managed to get you to take back control, but that was not enough to save you."

Yuuki was silent for a few minutes. She vaugely remembered everything that had happened that day, but it all seemed like a dream.
"What do you mean by you were 'unable to save' me?" Yuuki asked, staring at her father.

Raizo rose from his chair and walked over to the window so Yuuki couldn't see his face, but he could feel her eyes on him.
"You will be executed in three days," he said softly.

She froze when she heard the those dreaded words. It seemed to take a long time for the words to process.
"Executed?" she whispered. "Let me see Wolf!"

"That will be impossible. I have exiled Wolf from Shihana. He did not do what I asked of him. He wouldn't be able to save you either. There is nother that can be done. The Village Elders have already made their decision."
"LET ME SEE WOLF!" Yuuki suddenly screamed.
She kept screaming for Wolf and started to thrash around. Doctors rushed in and tried to subdue Yuuki, and when that didn't work, they injected her with a sedative. Her moves got less violent and she started to drift off into sleep. She had tears running down her face and as she drifted off, she whispered on word.
"Wolf."

Raizo stood by the window and watched the silent tears stream down her face and heard her whisper Wolfs name.
"I'm sorry, Yuuki. I cannot let you see him anymore."

"Anything else you need?" Amber Pewter asked via radio as Wolf re-entered Keihoset Forest.
"Nope, that'll take care of the problem I think." he replied, "The execution is scheduled for the morning, and I'm just leaving Rufturf, so I have time to make it back and get set up before-hand.  Did Kenichi say when he'd be arriving?"
"He said he'd be there by sunrise." she responded.
"Let's hope he makes it in time." Wolf prayed, "I'm reaching the forest now.  After I arrive at Shihana, it'll be a waiting game, looking for Makoto to make a move.  Once everything starts, it'll be a bad day for everyone."
"Are you sure it's a good idea to get involved with their affairs?" Amber asked.  "I know you like this girl, and I know it isn't right for her to just up and die for something beyond her control, but what we're doing could make us a lot of enemies if we're not careful.  We're already enemies with the Empire.  If the Shihana rise against us too, we would be in way over our heads."
"But if we don't save her today, one of two things will happen." he began, "Either we let a single girl die for the safety of a village, or Makoto pulls out all the stops and manages to rip control from her again.  He'd use her to wipe out a village, and then, for whatever he wants.  Yuuki was bred as a weapon, nurtured as a weapon, trained as a weapon, and if we don't stop this guy, she will become a weapon. Lifeless, and used only to kill and torture.  What kind person would let a girl turn into something like that?"

"Well said!" a voice from overhead says as Koki leaps from a tree onto the path.
"I am to assume you've been following me since I left the village?" Wolf spoke.
"We have indeed," Satsuki spoke as she appeared from behind a different tree further down the road, "When the elders barred us from even giving our last goodbyes to her, we had decided to see what you had up your sleeve.  Yuuki is NOT going to die yet." she finished, with utmost conviction.
"So out with it," Koki interjected, "What's the plan?"

Wolf smiled, he barely knew these two, but out of anyone within miles, they'd be the first ones to trust to get this job done right.
"My partner is en-route from the north, he'll be here in the morning, he will provide sniper support from the ridge overlooking the town." They began talking while making their way to the village, "Satsuki, you're going to be our insider.  Wear something shiny, and signal us when anything goes wrong.  You're to be present when they begin the execution.  If necessary, if we cannot prevent the villagers from killing her, you are to do whatever you can to delay them.  Set a house on-fire, break down crying, stab someone with a chop-stick, whatever you need to do to make a scene and buy time."
Satsuki nods in agreement, her usual bubbly demeanor replaced by a stern, serious look.
"Koki, you are actually going to be my wing-man.  I need some backup in combat, and you're the man for the job.  They never located the two kunoichi from Rufturf after the Southern District brawl, and I'm guessing they're coming at us again today.  You've seen them in battle when I fought them, so you should know what to expect.  You'll be lookout until they arrive, and then you'll engage them."
Koki also nods, signaling he knows his duty in this endeavor.
"As for me, I'll be waiting for Makoto to appear personally." Wolf said.
"You think he'll show himself?" Koki asked.
"The barrier around the town isn't physical," Wolf stated, "so people and objects alike can traverse it, but Makoto's mind control can't penetrate it very well.  The two kunoichi from the other day may be able to enter after being controlled, but for him to affect Yuuki directly isn't very likely unless he starts it from within the village itself.  I'll be waiting for him to make his move, and counter him in person.  Aside from that, he also seems like the kind to gloat.  He'll definitely be there, in person to witness his greatest triumph."
"Do you have any alternate plans of action?" Koki asked.
"Yeah," Wolf replied, "firstly, if Makoto does make it into the village, we are to immediately shift all focus onto killing him.  Ignore the other two, ignore Yuuki, subdue Makoto and kill him as soon as possible, I'll give everything I've got to killing him from the start, Raizo and his bodyguards should arrive at that point to fight Makoto.  At that point, I'll turn my attention to Yuuki again and try to stop her from doing any major damage.  The problem lies in the fact that if he's that close to her, the odds of her breaking free of his control are slim-to-none.  It'll take something powerful to knock her back into reality."
"Do you have something in mind?" Satsuki asked.
Wolf was silent.  He did have an idea, but he wasn't sure if it would work.  The sun was set, and the woods were dark.  The morning would come soon.

Memory Loss? - Page 5 Empty Re: Memory Loss?

Post  Julia Fri Apr 10, 2015 3:05 pm

The day of the execution arrived, and Yuuki was sitting in a jail cell, once again. She was looking out the window, hoping to see the sun one last time. But, that didn't seem possible. The day was overcast. It was almost like the day was mourning for her. She heard a rattle as a key placed in the lock.

The guard didn't say anything as he left some bread and water on the floor of her cell. Yuuki looked at it, and her stomach growled loudly. She turned away from the food and water. She hadn't eaten anything or drank anything. She didn't see a point to it. She was going to die, so what was the point in giving your body the nourishment? Yuuki hadn't slept at all either. It was hard for her to sleep with her hands bound in front of her.

She looked down at her bound hands. They were together at the wrist with a piece of rope, and she had paper scrolls all over her body to keep her from releasing her seals. Normally, so many wouldn't be needed, but since Yuuki's power was strong, they used as many as they could. She sighed again as she looked out the window. Today was going to be depressing. Not only was it her execution day, but it was also her 18th birthday. As she stared at the cloudy sky, he thoughts turned to Wolf.

She hadn't seen him in three days, and she didn't get to say goodbye to him before he was exiled from the village. Yuuki's chest tightened painfully, and she closed her eyes, holding back the tears that threatened to fall from her eyes. It wasn't long before a male voice spoke softly to her.

"Yuuki-sama, it's time," Kanji said.

Yuuki nodded as she stood up. She was going to commit seppuku, and at the same time, she was going to be beheaded by her father, and with her own katana. That was the custom in her village when someone was sentenced to death. She was lead out of the jail and through town guarded by Kanji and Yuuichi.

This was her last time that she would see Shihana. She loved Shihana. All her memories were here. She lost her mother and Kyosuke here. She fell in love here. She was led to the middle of town where there was a raised platform. Raizo was already standing there, her sword hanging by his side. Yuuki took a deep breath as she climbed the steps. The whole village was here to witness her execution.

She turned to face the crowd, her eyes scanning the area real quick. She found Satsuki, wearing a ridiculously large gold necklace. Her green eyes filled with tears as she took in the sight of her best friend. She closed her eyes, trying to hold the tears back, but they slipped out from her eyes and rolled down her cheeks.

"You all know why we are gathered here today. We are here to bear witness to the execution on Oosaka Yuuki for crimes of treason. She has destroyed our village and she has destroyed Rufturf's Merchant District. She has also almost killed some of our people. The punishment for those crimes is death," Raizo said.

Yuuki was handed a dagger, and she could hear her sword being unsheathed. She closed her eyes, ready to thrust the sword into her abdomen when she felt the familiar presence of Makoto. Her eyes snapped open, and at the same time, the scrolls on her body erupted in flames. Yuuki screamed as the paper burned, leaving red marks all over her body. Her clothes caught fire, and she was doused with water. The flames went out, and Yuuki stopped screaming. Everyone watched with bated breath to see what had happened. When she looked up, her green eyes were lifeless. Makoto had taken control of her body once more.
