Regions and Factions Explaination
OVERVIEW
Allura (subject to name change), the fictitious country in which the story/ies will take place, is our realm of imagination. A place for the dreams of the members of this site to cross eachother. There are several different elements to this story, such as the people, the landscapes, cultures, and what-not. There are many different factions of people in the world, they are the following:
1. Falborne Kingdom: Knights, swordsmen, light-foots (militarized scouts), royalty, and commoners. This is the western central region of the island. The widest area of populace in Allura, ruled by King Reginald de Falbor VI. Many small towns populate the open fields of the kingdom. The main center of commerce for the whole country is a trade-city by the name of Rufturf (name subject to change). (this is where the main story begins in Story RP).
2. Keihoset Forest: Ninja, woodland creatures, and several bandit hideouts dot this territory. The forrest stretches from the northern mountain range to the southern wastelands, dividing the country in half. In the forest lies the most prominent ninja village, Oosaka. Recent activity from the northern region of Rovan has left the northern parts of the forest in pieces.
3. Rovan Empire: Users of mechanized infantry and more advanced technology than the other regions. Invaded the country 25 years ago, and began assaulting a once peaceful country. Ten years ago, the old emporer died. His new heir, Avis Emery, took over, and immediately put an end to the fighting by signing a peace treaty with the other regions. Lately however, there has been strange activity brewing in the north. Their region lies north of the Neetawl mountain range, completely cut-off from the rest of the country. A Resistance Force has risen up against the emporer within the walls of the city, in preparation for a possible war.
4. Arcane Democracy: The eastern-most part of the island, furthest away from all the other regions, it is the home of the country's most renown practitioners of the magical arts. Housed together in one main city of 'Astrell', the Mages have recently cut off all ties to the outside, secluding themselves in study and practice of their magics. Their doors are closed to all outsiders, and only those who have permission may enter the city. The realm is ruled by a democracy of the highest ranked magicians of each discipline: casting, altering, manipulation, kinetics, charmism, and enchantment.
5. Southern Wastelands: Remnants of an ancient civilization, destroyed suddenly, and lost to history. Many great artifacts have been uncovered in it's ruins, and many have yet to be discovered. Undead creatures wander around the lands, and only become stronger within the ruins themselves. Bandits also inhabit these lands, adding to the danger. Many believe that the secrets of the past can be uncovered here, but some feel that the past is best left unknown. These wastes are directly below Falborne Kingdom and Keihoset Forest.
6. Pirate Coasts: The southern tip of the Wastelands, and just south of the Arcane Democracy lies the homes of many a pirate. The hopeful sailors set out for plunder and adventure every-so-often, and usually manage a profit from their raids on various parts of the world. Rumor has it that their "King" is actually a woman. Though they make residence in the coasts, there is a secret cove at which they can hold out in times of trouble. No one is sure of it's exact location.
7. Perios: A country that no longer exists. It was the northern country that was destroyed when the Rovan Empire invaded. Few survivors escaped. Some of them simply accepted the change and applied for citizenship with the Empire. Others turned their backs on the invaders and either left for the other regions of the continent or moved into encampments in the mountains. During the ensuing war with the Empire, the survivors of Perios were known as the most aggressive fighters, killing thousands of Rovans in their wake. A majority of the Perios people have joined the ERF and are housed in New Rovan City and the surrounding mountains.
The entire country is located on a large island, (see "Allura World Map"), however, if you make up a character that doesn't fit into any of the above areas, saying he/she comes from a distant country will be fine. Or, if we overlooked the type of character that should be in this type of game, tell us, and we'll most likely add them in.

Re: Regions and Factions Explaination
FALBORNE KINGDOM
Under the rule of King Reginald de Falbor VI, this region has become dependent on it's trade with other countries in order to survive. After the invasion of the Rovan Empire 10 years ago, the kingdom opened it's trade-ports with virtually every country that was willing to trade with it in the world in an effort to survive against the opressive firepower the Rovans were capable of. As such, the types of technology that are found here can vary from simple bows and arrows to even the rare and advanced laser type weapons of the Rovan Empire. The main military forces predominantly use swords and shields, but the townspeople all have electricity and plumbing.
The cultures of this Region are very diverse, from the noble and commoner outlook of the people of Newcrest city to the backwoods "Everyone pitches in to help" ways of the hunter village of Artias.
Areas:
Newcrest City: Sitting at the foot of Falborne Castle, this city is the center of information, technology, and nobility of the Falborne Kingdom. There are many shops here with many exotic items from around the world. Traders come and go, and the castle is heavily fortified with the best troops the kingdom has to offer.
Rufturf City: Smaller than Newcrest, this town is the intra-national trade center for the entire island. Many traders bringing their goods and crops to be sold at the market. Some merchants will simply pass through this town on the way to sell their valuables to the ships and foreign buyers, however, most traders will find that they will be able to lighten their load simply by stopping in Rufturf and selling their goods to the ever-growing city's population. Considering it's location at the border to the Keihoset Forest and being relatively close to the Rovan Empire, Rufturf is the most prospering city in the kingdom aside from Newcrest. The popularity of selling goods in Rufturf has made it's trade-routes prime targets for bandit raids.
Artias Village: A small hunting village to the south of Rufturf. This town is run by the village chief by the name of "Bear". This town survives by hunting in Keihoset Forest for provisions and sells their excess in Rufturf for profit.
Grazeland Plantation: Not so much a town, but a landmark nonetheless. The plantation is owned by an elderly couple and run by any assistants that they can afford to hire. Due to it's location in the middle of the country between Newcrest and Rufturf, the plantation is relatively large, and sells it's produce both to Allura as well as in Newcrest to be sold to foreign traders.
Everpece Harbor: The main sea-port in Allura, located directly to the west of Newcrest. This port is never empty as there is always a steady influx of traders coming in to it's ports. Along with these traders, however, there have been rumors of pirates sailing into town. These rumors are as-of-yet unconfirmed by the authorities.
Falborne Mines: These mines of gold in the center of the kingdom were once rich with ore, but after a catastrophic accident, the mine collapsed and the workers inside were killed. Now it is said to be haunted and very few ever venture to go near.
Griever's Ridge: This is a cliff-dotted area to the west of Rufturf. Wild animals run wild in this area and seem to be more dangerous and feral than even in the forest. Most travelers will steer clear of this area.
Ruvius Town: This is the northern-most town in the kingdom. Bordering the closest to the mountains and the Rovan Empire, this town has become predominantly a military outpost. The Falborne Knights control the area around the town with garrisons of troops.
FACTIONS
This Kingdom is predominantly unified under the Falborne crown, however it's military divisions are diverse enough to be sepparated from eachother as completely different factions.
Falborne Army: The army is the main military force of the kingdom. Their presence is strong in all regions of the land and their might is not to be trifled with. The army is divided into two classes, the Soldiers and the Knights. The Soldier class is segmented into divisions and watched over by one Knight per division. The Knights are the elite of the hierarchy, each a skilled swordsman, well versed in combat and strategy.
---Members---
-Reginald de Falbor- King of the Falborne Kingdom. Reginald is a wary king who does not openly trust anyone, especially mages. Following the years of the war, the trading routes were controlled by the Kingdom and made for massive profit on the kingdom's behalf due to trading taxes imposed by him. Reginald believes the Rovan Empire will undoubtably attack at the first given chance when everyone's guard is down. He has kept constant vigilance to ensure there is no opening. He has posted his Calvary Dragoons in Ruvius town, close to the Neetawl Mountains to counter any possible attacks.
-Renee Falbor- Princess of the Falborne Kingdom. Only 15 years old, she has become well aquainted with nearly every politician in Allura. She holds high standing as one of the brightest minds of her generation. She has political ties that even her father was unable to achieve and has avoided armed conflict that has seemed unavoidable. She believes that everyone deserves a fair chance and is a stark contrast to her father's distrustfulness.
-Lance Kasu- Leader of the Falborne Army and one of the "Three Lions". Lance spends most of his days in Falborne Castle located in NewCrest, leading his troops. Though he has no qualms with his duties as a military leader, he does miss being on the front-lines with his men. His strength and skill with his mighty broadsword is unparalelled. He has become well aquainted with Princess Renee and has become somewhat of a caretaker for her. Long-standing friend with Jason Crowe and Elise Glade.
-Jason Crowe- Leader of the Calvary Dragoons. Jason is a master of the lance and horseback combat. Though he is known as the weakest of the "Three Lions", he is by no means an easy opponent. He is based out of Ruvius Town with the main garrison of the kingdom's soldiers.
White Vangaurd: The most elite unit of the Falborne Kingdom. Led by Captain Elise Glade, the Vangaurd is a gathering of the most talented and efficient Knights in one single group. Though it is most definitely a small unit, it is unconfirmed as to their exact number, or who is involved in it. Their missions delve anywhere from sabotage to assassination of high-value targets.
---Members---
-Elise Glade- A strong, cold woman. One of the "Three Lions", she is possibly the most elite swordsman to ever step forth in the Falborne Army. Her speed and skill with her dual longswords leave her enemies reeling from battle. She is a long-standing friend with Lance Kasu and Jason Crowe.
Crimson Sentries: This is a loosely commanded militia stationed out of Rufturf. Otherwise known as "Light-foots", this is one neighborhood watch that you don't want to mess with. Though they are not exactly a military branch, they are usually under the direct supervision of the local Town Sentry "Gen". The militia was originally organized in defense of Rufturf from a mage attack that the Falborne Army was unable to repel, but have since banded back together to handle a surge bandit problems along the trade routes. They specialize in mobility and surprise attacks as opposed to the heavy-armor wearing Falborne Army.
---Members---
-Genn Sumer- Leader of the Sentries and known as the "Crimson Knight" due to an old war-story of his ability to fight even when covered head-to-toe in his own blood. He holds this title, though he has never before been dubbed an actual knight. He holds high respect in the kingdom and is a powerful swordsman.
-Gravv- Apprentice to Genn and brother-disciple to Karu. Though he tends to be air-headed and very ditzy, he is highly capable swordsman after training with Genn and though their personalities clash at times, they form a powerful team.
-Kitt Sumer- Genn's niece. Though not an official Sentry, she is the go-to person when looking for information. Her ability to gather information would make any spy green with envy. Often works double-shift, providing information and book-keeping for the Tsaiga Mercenaries as well as anyone who can pay.
-Mox Trine- Mox is a co-founder of the Crimson Sentries. He is responsible for finding Karu as a child on a mission. He specializes in firearms and distraction tactics. He commands a mobile unit of light-foots that are almost constantly on patrol.
-Tole Trine- Mox's son and Karu Tsaiga's adoptive "step-brother". He grew up with Karu from age 3 to 8. He and Karu are nearly opposites, where as Karu was more capable with bladed weaponry, Tole took after his father and had an affinity for guns. Karu's training with blades was turned over to Genn Sumer after Karu reached age 8. Tole is employed in his father's light-foot division.
Tsaiga Mercenaries: A newly formed mercenary and odd-job group that has surfaced in Rufturf. It was founded by Karu Tsaiga and Akuin. They tend to work in conjunction with the Sentries, though they may, at times, find themselves at odds with them. As the Sentries are a neighborhood watch committee, the Mercenaries are a soldier-for-hire organization.
---Members---
-Karu Tsaiga- Founder and name-sake of the organization. Karu is a previous student of Genn from the Sentries. He has trained with Gravv from an early age and become a master of blades. Primary weapon of choice are combat knives.
-Akuin- Co-Founder of the organization and possibly the most powerful member. Armed with blades, firearms, and magic, Akuin is a force to be reckoned with. He seems to be very knowlegable of the world around him and knows many things that others can only guess at.
-Gravv- Though his primary affiliation is with the Sentries, Gravv has been accepted as a member of Tsaiga Mercenaries. He constatly tries to change it's name to "Gravv's Shop", causing Karu to almost regret his decision.

Re: Regions and Factions Explaination
KEIHOSET FOREST
A dense forest that divides the center of Allura in two. Durring the Rovan Empire's invasion, over 30% of the woods were destroyed in the fighting that took place at Florence Pass at the base of the mountains. Due to the need for carbon and lumber, the Rovan Empire made it a point to harvest as much of the wood as they could before the peace treaty was signed. Villages left in the wake of the 'harvesting' were destroyed as well. The woods are now desolate at the northern limits of the forest and the damage to the region because of the war made it difficult for anything to grow.
Areas:
Shihana Village: Located roughly in the center of the forest, Shihana is home to one of the last surviving ninja clans in the world. Leaving modern technology from Falborne Kingdom and the magical arts of the Arcane Democracy out of their society, this group seldom welcomes outsiders. As such, their ways are secret to most. Their combat technique generally focuses on Ki manipulation, bladed weapons, and poison. Their quiet and speedy killing techniques have made them forces to be feared even if they are faced with fire-arms.
Renku Village: Established by the Renku Clan, this village is largest in area and population of the ninja villages. Their leadership bids for absolute power over the other clans through various means. Though striving to unite the other clans under one banner, there is no mistaking the distrust and general paranoia of the other regions, and even the other clans. Their success in trading and secrecy has earned them some supporters from other villages, though many are apprehensive to adopt their more exclusive isolationism methods. Trespassers in the village never return. Invitations to tour the village are effectively non-existent.
Getsuri Village: Ninja village located in the southwestern reaches of the forest. Getsuri is a village comprised of Monster Slayers. They pride themselves on knowing the ins and outs of their targets, eliminating dangerous creatures large and small for security and profit. Their skills have been honed and passed down for generations, improving their efficiency with every successful hunt. Their expertise are highly sought after in the event of irregular monster activity. Aside from Slayer works, they also work as skilled fishermen, being close to the gulf. Their leadership avoids the bickering among the other clans.
Bandits: These dot the woods as small encampments where one would find thugs and such plotting their moves against traveling merchants. There are those that say the bandits are organized under one leader, while others say they are segregated and have constant fighting amongst themselves. None of these rumours have been confirmed by the authorities.
Yuikora Cabin: Though not a town, it is worth a mention that Seth Yuikora (A main character in Story RP) lives in the woods roughly northwest of Shihana.
Factions:
Shihana Shinobi: Loyal to their chief "Oosaki, Raizo", these deadly assassin-type warriors have done their utmost to sepparate themselves from the world. Doing what they needed to survive or to earn money. Thier history is shrouded, but it is apparent that they have great reason to not trust the outside world.
---Members---
-Raizo Oosaki- Chief of Shihana Village and rightfully so. Though he is weaker in his older age than he was in his prime, Raizo is still the most capable to run the village than any who have risen to take the title. He is at the mercy of the Elders of the Village who wish to steal his place as Chief. Though he is respected as a leader, the town does not hold his word over that of the Elders. He fears one day, they will turn the town on him and force him to step down.
-Kanji- One of Raizo's bodyguards. He is a silent man who takes his duty seriously at all times. His silent demeanor is usually seen as intimidating though he means nothing by it. He is known as the "Right Eye" of Raizo's guard.
-Yuichi- Known as "Left Eye" of Raizo's guard. He is Kanji's partner. Though weaker in stature to Kanji, he has proven he has what it takes to defend Raizo and the village in a time of crisis.
-Yuuki Oosaki- Pricess of Shihana, daughter of Raizo Oosaki. Yuuki aspires to take over as village chief when her father retires. She constatly tries to better herself as a ninja and leader. She is not a person who deals well with loss or death. When fighting at full power, she is possibly more powerful than Raizo himself.
-Kousuke Kitazawa- Bodyguard to Yuuki. His father once guarded Yuuki's mother Kyoko as he himself guards Yuuki. Both of their parents were killed during a raid by a rival village when they were children. Kousuke failed to protect her then, but has vowed to never let that happen again.
-Satsuki Asamoto- Daughter of one of the Elders of Shihana, she is Yuuki's best friend and confidant. There is possibly no one in the village who can pull strings like Satsuki. It is theorized that in a rage, she would be able to turn the entire village against eachother in a matter of minutes if she wanted to.
-Koki Sonohara- Trained under Raizo himself for a time. Bodyguard for Satsuki, and eventually fell in love with her. Their relationship is prohibited by law however, so on fear of his life they must keep their relationship a secret.
Renku Shinobi: Not much is known of their methodology at the moment. Though they apparently make much profit from trading, rumors say the wealthy may afford the service of their elite assassins. Shrouded in secrecy, only time and bravery will reveal the secrets of these enigmatic peoples.
---Members---
Getsuri Shinobi: Effectively mercenaries that hunt monsters for coin. They are secretive in their ways, but have been known to teach some more fortunate individuals who have earned their trust.
---Members---
Bandit Gangs: Loyal only to themselves. These thugs generally think with an "every man for himself" attitude and disband or regroup on a whim. Deadly in numbers, though most of them are only average fighters or cowards all-together. There are rumors of a significantly more organized group of thieves. -Jaucs- A bandit that finds joy in the death of others. He takes Karu in as a apprentice for a time, but quickly makes an enemy of him based on morals.
-Rawst- Jaucs' right-hand man. He wields a giant war hammer with a spike at either end. He is strong enough to stab the ground with one of the spikes and lift a chunk of rock to home-run swing into an opponent.
-Kori- A bandit working for Jaucs who specializes in explosives. He has an unstable personality and is killed while trying to suicide-bomb Karu after their fight.
-Reggie- New recruit under Jaucs. Mostly answers to Rawst and does menial tasks to prove loyalty. Has been paired with Gravv for a time. Killed by Akuin.
-Haienz- A bandit specializing in incendiaries and rifle marksmanship. He is a friend of Jaucs and is just as honorless if not more-so than Jaucs. He will throw a vial of incendiary liquid and shoot it out of the air for splash-damage in an AOE attack.
-Seleste- A female bandit working under Haienz. She wields a chain-whip and runs espionage and burglary jobs against possible targets. She prefers to work alone, but has recently joined up in Haienz's three-man squad.
-Isshin- Haienz's third hand in his squad. He is capable of incredible feats of strength and can use Ki to control the size of his body to roughly grow 1.5 times his own size, dramatically increasing his destructive power. He dons a pair of brass knuckles when looking to deal maximum damage. He has a separate pair of knuckles for his larger size which are augmented with blades.
-Brigg- Giant, muscle-bound bandit. Holds the title of "Strongest Man in Allura". He has a child-like mentality, incredibly low IQ, and doesn't like people laughing at him.
Yuikora Cabin:
-A house built by Hawk and Allie Yuikora during the war. Seth Yuikora was born in this house and has lived there ever since. His parents were killed by bandits here.
---Members---
-Hawk Yuikora- A hero from the war. Hawk is a martial artist with legendary skill. He was rumoured to be one of the strongest men in the world. After the birth of his son Seth, he began training him in order for him to be able to defend himself. During a massive bandit raid on his home, Hawk and his wife Allie lost their lives protecting Seth.
-Allie Yuikora- A kind-hearted woman who is married to Hawk Yuikora. Though very warm and outgoing, after giving birth to her son Seth, her health begins to rapidly deteriorate. When Seth has an outburst while on an outing in town, his Flame Magic is awakened and he is unable to control it. Allie reveals that she used to practice Flame Magic and becomes his instructor on how to control it.
-Seth Yuikora- Though his parents have been dead for over 2 years, Seth still lives by himself in the cabin they built. He trains himself every day, reflecting on what they both taught him. He only deals with people when it's a necessity. He has a bad habit of only bringing 'just enough' money with him wherever he goes, which seems to always end up being 'not enough' money.
Though there is no definite word on their existence.

Re: Regions and Factions Explaination
ROVAN EMPIRE
Ruled by Emporer Avis Emery, this area has been under the control of the Rovan Empire for 30 years. The true empire lies on a country far to the north of Allura, however due to the small size of the country and their rapid technological development, they have in recent years begun invading other less powerful lands on a hunt for resources and power.
Through the combined efforts of the different regions of Allura, the advance of the Empire was stopped and a peace agreement placed between them after the previous emporer Darius Emery suddenly died. The peace has held for 10 years, with the Rovan Empire only having the right to stay in the area north of the Neetawl Mountains.
Areas:
New Rovic City: Standing as the "Alluran Capital City of the Rovan Empire", NRC is also known as the new capital city of the entire empire. Since the death of the previous Emporer,
Factions:
Imperial Army: The most powerful military force in Allura. They invaded the island 25 years ago and immediately obliterated the northern country of Perios, establishing their foot-hold in on the island. After the cease-fire 10 years ago when Avis Emery took over for his deceased father, the Imperial Army moved into a defensive posture to maintain their foothold.
---Members---
-Darius Emery- Deceased ruler of the Rovan Empire. He began the invasion of Allura 25 years ago and displayed the Empire's incredible military might. Died of mysterious causes 10 years ago, being suceeded by his son, Avis.
-Avis Emery- Dictator of the Rovan Empire. Avis took over after his father, Darius Emery, mysteriously passed away 10 years ago. Avis immediatly moved to stop the war that had errupted while his father was ruling. Avis' motives seem truthful, though his rapid increase in military training after the peace treaty was signed has made the other regional rulers wary of him.
Emporer's Guard: The Emporer's personal guard unit. They are 24/7 watch-dogs for the Emporer and are augmented with high level capabilities in battle. They ensure the Emporer's safety at all times. It is rumored that they can kill an assassin in the Emporer's presence without him even noticing.
---Members---
-Echo- A silent, masked man in a green battle-suit. His left arm emits a powerful energy on command and allows him to either wrap the energy around himself or fire it off in a condensed beam. He is the Emporer's #1 guard.
Armored Divisions: Donning 'Personal Armour' units, these soldiers are the newest and arguably most dangerous addition to the Empire's forces. Their production was completed after the cease-fire, so their full capabilities are unknown. It has been noted that there are many models of PAs that were produced. Some being heavy 'Tank' types, where as others are light-weight and offer the ability of flight. Armaments are also varied amongst the different Armours. Their numbers have been constantly growing since the peace treaty was signed.
---Members---
-Einzen "Ein" Toli- Commander of the Aerial Armored Division, wielding a red flying-type armour. His weaponry consists of twin beam-lances named "Blitz Eagles" that he can extend to nearly 4 feet in length each. He can also connect the two lances to create a dual bladed swallow-type weapon. His maximum speed combined with his lances can leave his enemies in pieces within seconds.
-Ivan "Ivan" Stalheim- Commander of the Heavy Armored Division, he demonstrates high destructive ability with his giant armor. Standing at 16' tall in full armor and capable of pulverizing iron within seconds, Stalheim is easily the most recognizable and feared of the Rovan Commanders. His only weapon other than brute-strength is called "Blitz-Striker" and is a shoulder-mounted canon which fires a large beam of focused electricity.
-Veronika "Nika" Deita- Commander of the Secret Armor Division, she is a master of stealth. Her suit is light-weight, highly maneuverable, quiet, and can become 100% invisible. She is an assassin by nature, defeating the oponents of the Emporer from the shadows. She has a confirmed kill record of over 500 targets. Having no need for flashy weapons, she prefers quick and silent kills though in a pinch, CQC (close-quaters-combat) is a field in which she has never met an equal.
Empire Resistance Force (ERF): A resistance started in opposition to the Rovan Empire. It is predominantly manned by remnants of the country of Perious, but over the years, other members have gradually joined their ranks. It has outposts ranging throughout the Neetawl Mountains and a few bases dotted around New Rovan City.
---Members---
-Denise Troyer- Leader of the Fifth Division of the ERF. Denise is responsible for espionage and sabotage division. The division is small and is located in south-central New Rovan City in a secret underground base.
-Reeve- Strategist of the Fifth Division. He works mostly on planning and coordinating attacks. He hasn't been to the field in many years. He's very cold to most people he meets. His weapon of choice is a 3-round burst handgun.
-Kenichi- "Ranger" for the Fifth Division of the ERF. He has a slight alcoholism problem, but is an expert with rifle type firearms. He wields a weapon that can fire either long-ranged armor-piercing rounds or shotgun shells, depending on the situation. Partners with Wolf Pewter.
-Wolf Pewter- "Hunter" of the Fifth Division. Expert at infiltration and combat; he is the ERF's secret weapon. He dons preformance enhancing equipment that increases his combat effectiveness. His sister, Amber Pewter, teleports weaponry to him to suit his situation. He partners with Kenichi for many missions who acts as sniper support.
-Amber Pewter- "Navigator" for Kenichi and Wolf's team. She keeps in constant radio-contact with them while they are on mission and is responsible for ensuring Wolf recieves his weaponry via teleport. Amber constatnly controls all finances for Kenichi, Wolf, and herself and is an expert with computers and electronic warfare.
-Scarecrow- "Sentry" for the Fifth Division. It is rumored that he can stay awake for days at a time on guard. His weapon is a long-barreled plasma revolver which fires condensed shells of electricity.
The Vigil: A sizeable gang of vigilantes organized to maintain peace in New Rovic City. Though they do not support the Rovan Empire, they do not pledge allegiance to the ERF. A true wildcard in the power dynamic of the city.

Re: Regions and Factions Explaination
ARCANE DEMOCRACY
Known for it's great magic school and high levels of personal freedoms. The Arcane Democracy was a prosperous country with immeasurable wealth until recently. When the Rovan Empire attacked 25 years ago and began the war, the Elementalists of the Democracy banded together with the other regions in an effort to halt their advance. Of all of the regions that fought in the war, the Democracy suffered the greatest losses. Thier finances went out the window and they suffered constant attacks from the Empire due to their poor military might and planning.
After the signing of the peace-treaty, the Democracy went into isolation and had strict rules set in place to discourage or even deny visitors. Their economy in pieces, they were preyed upon by the other regions immediately after the war, losing the trade-routes to the Falborne Kingdom and recieving no help rebuilding their demolished cities from the Shinobi of Keihoset, contrary to their agreement at the war's start. They are currently recovering their finances and rebuilding their cities. They have a rather strict "Leave Us Alone" agreement in place.
Areas:
Astrell City: The capital of the Democracy, Astrell is a very densely populated city. A large castle in the town yields six towers, each corresponding to the different elements of magic. The central structure of the castle is home of the Senatorial Council, which governs the land based on popular vote of the people. Astrell is currently the only un-touched city from the war. It was heavily defended while the other cities in the Democracy fell to Rovan attacks. Currently, the walls of the city are closed exept on rare occasion where some are invited in on official business.
Craytell Town: Recently began reconstruction after the town was completely wiped out in the war. There aren't any villagers that live there, only workers who wish to get in an honest day's work and rebuild the city from the ground up. There is an inn and a general goods store for travelers. It is expected more villagers will return to the town once houses begin going back up.
Factions:
Senatorial Council: Responsible for making decisions based on the votes of the people. They believe themselves to be the perfect democracy system. The people have the ability to bring up issues, then the people cast votes on the issues every week.
---Members---
-William Benson- "King Bill the Benevolent" as the people refer to him, is a Master in Nature Magic with a sub-mastery in Light. Though not actually a King, Bill is the most popular of the Senators. He rules with a kind, yet fair policy. He originally came up with the voting system that the Democracy uses currently. He is 45 years old and holds a strong 29 years in office as a Councilman.
-Roland Tyrus- Master of Atmospheric and Flame magic concurrently, he is the only High-Master to earn his Masteries in two elements at the same time. Working with both his entire life, he slowly grew to understand them individually and conjuctively. He was well into his late 50s before earning High-Master rank and over 70 before he was indoctrinated into the Council. He is the oldest council member and has stated Atmospheric Magic as his primary for purposes of the council.
-James Glee- Light Master with a sub-mastery in Water, James is the youngest member of the Council at age 26. He is renown in his abilities as an engineer and craftsman. Using his masteries, he would make crystals of purified ice, then refract light through them. Combined, these abilties can create highly-condensed lasers, proving absolutely devastating to even the strongest armour. James is a ladies man and seems a bit lecherous to some of the students at the academy. No allegations have been filed against him due to misconduct.
-Cameron Farius- Fire is his primary Mastery with Nature being his sub. Cameron is a powerful man and was a battle-mage in his early years. As such, he has an air of military self-pride that lurks around him even into his late 50s. He is seen by some as a radical military-might 'rule by an iron-fist' type. Generally not well recieved by the people who shy away from war.
-Glenda Monroe- Water Mastery and Shadow Sub-Mastery, Glenda is the longest-termed council-member, serving a massive 40 years straight of her 60 year life. In her early years, she acted as a spy, using her shadow and water magic to create clones and images of herself. She could appear to be in multiple places at once or, if she chose, appear to be nowhere near the scene. Though lacking in combat, it is believed that she is the wisest member of the council, even if she does seem a bit senile at times. She is impressed by appearances and manners.
-Jean Raymond- With a Mastery in Shadow Magic and a Sub Mastery in Atmospheric Magic, Raymond is the final member of the council. He is an investor and self-proclaimed gentleman, not tolerating failure by his subordinates or his peers. He cares about success, and is at odds with many of the representatives on the Council for one reason or another. At the age of 38, he is the newest addition to the Council. His earlier years, he made a living through gambling and hustling. A magician by trade, he would travel around Allura preforming, secretly stealing posessions from his viewers while they watched. He has since reformed and is an outspoken member of current events in the Democracy.
High Masters: Mages who have mastered two disciplines of magic have the right of passage in this elite group. Few can ever manage this feat in a life-time, thus, thier status is held highly among the people of their society. Their wisdom is highly valued by all. Only a High Master Magician may become a member of the Senatorial Council.
---Members---
-Pious- A Shadow Magic master with a sub-mastery of Fire. He is a powerful instructor in the Shadow Magic school and a potential member of the Senatorial Council. His agenda is a mystery, though he seems to be ever-seeking a place in the Council.
Masters: Mages who have mastered one discipline of magic. A special, secret ceremony is preformed to serve as a right-of-passage for those who join the ranks of Master Magician. All that pass the test are deemed worthy of the rank and usually become teachers of their art to younger generations.
---Members---
-Sandra- A Light Magic master. Sandra is currently an instructor with the school of Light and devotes her time when not working to heal students injured during training with her magic. She is well-known for her kind-heartedness and has recently taken in a pupil by the name of Katie.
-Alice the Red- A powerful Flame Master who disappeared during the war with the Rovan Empire. Rumor has it she is not dead, and instead ran away to get married. Her skills with Flame Magic were unparalleled.
Misc. Mages: Magicians worth mentioning that are not Master Level or higher.
---Members---
-Katie- A young girl of 18 with an apathy for light magic. Primarily a healer, she does not posses much will to harm others. She is a student of Light Master Sandra.

Re: Regions and Factions Explaination
PIRATE COASTS
Pirates are an ever-growing threat for sea-faring merchants. When searching for treasure has proven less-than-fruitful, pirates tend to turn their attention towards the intensified trade between Allura and the other regions of the world. There are many ports set up to provide resting and recruiting points for returning vessels. Most are not directly guarded or regulated by any powerful garrisons.
Areas:
Port Emiya: A town that became a resort shortly after the peace-treaty was signed, ending the war. This town lined with luxury, gambling, prostitution, organized crime, and drugs. It is said the town was created and named after a Pirate Lord. The Emiya Pirates tend to frequent this town quite often during their port visits.
King's Coast: A large port town for trading with southern countries. It was originally created as a port defense by the Falborne Kingdom durring the war with the Rovan Empire. Since the peace-treaty, the town has sepparated from the Kingdom's control and has become a massive trade-town dealing in exotic goods and many types of animals.
Everpece Harbor: A port in the Falborne Kingdom that is a primary in-and-out for trade. Most merchants from overseas tend to stop at this port rather than any other.
Raven Cave: A hideout for the Emiya Pirates. The cove is known to many authorities, but it's jagged rocks around the mouth of the cave make entering nearly impossible without prior knowledge and a savy navigator.
Factions:
-Emiya Pirates- A notorious Pirate crew consisting of three battle-ships (Talon, Reaver, and Umbra) and two galleons (Great-Axe and Teal). Smaller ships are mobilized as needed from hideouts, but are usually kept hidden due to their vulnerability. This particular crew has become the most notorious group on the seas around Allura. They are lead by Pirate Lord Morgan, heralded as 'King of Pirates'.
---Members---
-Emily Morgan- Pirate Lord commonly known as the 'King of Pirates', though the title of 'King' would prefferably be changed to 'Queen'. At age 14, she commanded her first ship under her father, and former Pirate King, Anthony Morgan. When she turned 16, her father died while going down with his ship in a sea-battle. She has since commanded his entire fleet, taking on the name of Pirate King after slaying her father's killer in a duel at the age of 19. Now 22, she is at the prime of her life, leading the Emiya Pirates as Captain of the SS Talon.
-Jack Lumber- A Captain in the Emiya Pirates aboard the Umbra. He is second-in-command to Morgan. His exceptional skill at sword-fighting has gotten the crew out of several pickly predicaments in the past. Despite his old age, he wields his cutlass and sabre against all who would harm Emily, who he sees as a grand-daughter. He has served three generations of Morgans.
-Sheniquah- Navigator for the Talon and possibly Emily's only real friend. She joined up after stowing away aboard a small ship when Emily was learning to pilot. When Emily got lost in the open ocean, Sheniquah came out of hiding and used her knowledge as a sailor's daughter to find the way to an island with food and water. Afterwards, she led the ship back to Allura to re-group with Anthony and the rest of the ships. Her resourcefulness earned the respect of the King of Pirates and secured her a position in his crew.
-Mark Ryans- A sailor in the Emiya Pirates aboard the Talon. He is a new recruit, but has already become an exceptional sailor. His skills in battle can only be described as "being a Pirate" as his tactics are to shoot, stab, shoot, shoot, stab, and run away.
